Unlike traditional survey methods, a point cloud survey can be seen as a real representation of the building and the time and accuracy of creating architectural models derived from it represents a new dimension. The point cloud itself can be produced with several technologies, the choice of which method is a project-specific task. An important fact is that the 3D point cloud also shows the faults of the building, so the recurrent problems in the construction industry - right angles, horizontal and vertical - are given a different perspective. This dataset is also suitable for quantitative, qualitative and flat accuracy analyses.
